HE who comes from above is above all. There is born to you this day in the city of David a SAVIOR who is CHRIST The LORD. -John 3:31; Luke 2:11.
Imagine two young lads who have fallen into a ditch full of mud. They are terrified. The younger of them begs his friend, "Come and help me. Pull me out; I'm up to my stomach in mud!" The other replies, "What do you expect me to do? Can't you see that I'm in it as deep as you? " So they shout as loudly as they can until a passer-by hears them. He gives the alarm, finds a rope and throws it down to them. They hold on and a few minutes later, are standing along side their rescuer. Only someone who had not fallen into the ditch could save them. Their rescue came from above.
Not even the best of men, whether a scholar, a benefactor, a monk or a priest, can save another who, like himself, has fallen into the ditch of sin. In fact, we are all in the same situation, being stained by an internal evil and a fundamental opposition to GOD. We need a SAVIOR who has not inherited our sinful nature. HE is JESUS, The MAN from above, The ONE who came from heaven.
No one else was born like HIM. Conceived by The power of GOD, HE was born without man's intervention. Seven centuries before HIS coming the prophet Isaiah had prophesied the manner of HIS birth. The place and the time were also predicted accurately. Moreover GOD sent angels to announce HIS coming, (Matthew 1:20-21; Luke 2:9-12). Never in all history has a man arisen like JESUS. HE IS UNIQUE AND INCOMPARABLE.
HE IS THE ONLY SAVIOR WHO CAN LIFT US OUT FROM THE DITCH OF OUR SINS.
HE IS YESHUA.
HE IS JESUS.
HE IS THE LORD.
HE IS THE SON OF GOD.
