♥ JESUS' Way of Responding!

Do not marvel, my brothers, if the world hates you. -1 John 3:13

After a hard and tiresome mountainous trek with the rain beating down on them, a group of soldiers arrived back in their camp. The men were tired and "wet to the bone". They wanted only one thing: to lie in their beds and sleep. Among them was a new recruit, a Christian, who every evening knelt down beside his bed and prayed, which greatly irritated his roommates. But that evening, owing to their fatigue their cup overflowed. If the newcomer had sworn, fumed or cursed GOD, they would have accepted it. But he prayed and that bugged them. One of the soldiers took one of his muddy boots and threw it at the young man while he was praying. It hit him on the back, but he continued praying. The soldier then threw threw the second boot, but seeing no reaction, went back to bed and fell asleep.

How surprised he was the next morning to find his boots cleaned and shining at the foot of his bed. That gesture confounded him and proved to be the start of a work in his conscience that led him to faith in CHRIST JESUS.

The apostle Peter, addressing Christian women whose husbands did not obey The WORD Of GOD recommended that they should win them not by their words but by their conduct (1 Peter 3:1-4). Whatever our relationship with others is, our behavior speaks more convincingly than any number of words.
