★ No Time For GOD?

The Holy Scriptures...are able to make wise for salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS. All Scripture is GOD breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. -2 Timothy 3:15, 16

This morning, I opened my letter-box and found it full of advertising material, sensational special offers and enticing suggestions. When I had looked through everything and thrown most of the printed matter away, the thought struck me that our life often resembles an over-full letter-box. Through the abundance of offers we risk overlooking what is essential.

There are lands where reading the BIBLE is forbidden. But most of us live in places where we can easily obtain a BIBLE. But do we look into it every day, as we do in our letter-box? And do we listen to its message, without it being submerged in the flood of other impressions that sweep over us?

What is really important? Maybe we need to begin sorting out uncompromisingly. Our great GOD, who made heaven and earth, has taken the trouble to speak to us. Shouldn't HIS message take precedence over everything else?  Let us take time to examine what HE has to say to us. Whoever is very busy can easily say, "I haven't a moment free". Have we honestly not a moment for GOD?

Think of the letter-box and examine the order of priority of your activities. Maybe you will find something unless there is that which can be omitted and consequently be blessed through reading The WORD Of GOD.
